The Annual Old Folks Tea Party was held at the Royal Albion Hotel in January when around 40 attended. The entertainment and singing was magnificently lead by the Sussex Harmony Choir.

President John Woodhouse thanks the choir and all the helpers who made the event so successful.

The 2008 Christmas collection raised around £3,500 which will be distributed to local Sussex charities including the Martletts Hospice.

Past President Ted York presents a cheque for £4,000 to Juliette Mcpherson who receives it on behalf of the Chestnut Tree house Childrens' Hospice. based near Arundel. The monies were raised by the Rotary Club at the annual Charity Golf Day held at the Dyke GC earlier in the year.

January 2010 - Norman Baker MP (Lewes) talks to the Club about events leading up to the Iraq war and "The Strange Death of David Kelly" which is the subject of his book. Norman travelled down from London to speak to us despite having to return again that night. He found time to answer questions and kindly offered to donate £2 to our Rotary charities for every book that we ordered. It was an incredibly interesting talk
